TRAINING “Student Scientific Writing”

Scientific writing training activities for Library and Information Science Study Program students at the University of Bengkulu were held on February 25, 2023. They were held face-to-face offline in Room 11, Learning Building II, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Bengkulu University. This training activity was carried out to assist students in completing writing scientific papers. This activity is beneficial in assisting students in creating scientific work and completing the study period as soon as possible.

This activity invited two speakers. The first source came from a lecturer in the Library and Information Science Study Program at the University of Bengkulu, Mr Rahmat Alifin Valentino S.IIP., M.I.Kom, with the material “Research Construction and Conversion into Scientific Articles”. The second training session was also attended by the second resource person, namely Epri Wahyuni ​​, who is a graduate of library and Information Science student MBKM Conversion Thesis students with the material “Tips and Tricks for Writing Articles” in this case also the material adds material related to the practice of finding references and how to make citations in scientific Writing and using Mendeley’s applications. In this training activity, there are lots of direct simulations and tricks to write scientific papers correctly. After a series of sessions carried out, it is hoped that this activity will provide tangible benefits for students who are preparing their thesis and can produce scientific papers that can be published.

After delivering material from the speakers, the practice of writing scientific papers was guided by lecturers, namely Mr Rahmat Alifin Valentino, S.IIP., M.I.Kom and Mrs Epri Wahyuni.

The results obtained from the Scientific Writing Preparation Training activities are the knowledge and skills acquired by students in completing a thesis at the Bengkulu University Library and Information Science Study Program. It is also hoped that students will produce Scientific Writing which will later be published.
