Library and Information Science Study Program lecturers carry out community service in Sri Kuncoro Village

Library and Information Science Study Program lecturers held community services on September 7-8, 2019, in Kuncoro Village. This service aims to develop village libraries based on social inclusion. Libraries based on social inclusion are the goal of the current national library, where libraries are not only complementary facilities but how libraries can ultimately improve people’s lives. The development of the Srikuncoro village library was carried out for two days, on September 7 and 8.

This service received a warm welcome from the Head of the Sri Kuncoro Library Village and the community around Srikuncoro Village. The village head said this service was beneficial.
On the first day, the Community Service was carried out by holding training on village library development based on social inclusion delivered by the presenter, namely Fransiska Timoria Samosir, S.Sos., M.A. and Lailatus S.I.P, M.A. which village officials and the village community attended.
On the second day, storytelling was held, guided by children from HIMATAKSIFO, attended by around 50 children from the Srikuncoro village. The hope is that through storytelling, children can use the books in the library and make frequent visits to the Sri Kuncoro Village Library.
