LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SCIENCE STUDENT ASSOCIATION
“HIMATAKSIFO”
This name change is historical evidence that this student association has changed its name from HIMAILTAKA to HIMATAKSIFO, which was agreed upon at the 2018 work meeting.
In the 2018 management, sister Nicky Yasmidar Salim Sinaga was elected as General Chair of HIMATAKSIFO and accompanied by HIMATAKSIFO General Secretary Yuri Triyanto and HIMATAKSIFO General Treasurer Andika Hesel. In 2018, HIMATAKSIFO won an award as the Best Hima in Fisip at the Fisip Expo event organized by BEM of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.
In 2019, the General Chairperson elected, namely Alfiani Puspita, was the Chairperson of HIMATAKSIFO, while in 2020, Muhammad Ari Rahmadi. Then in 2021, the name of the General Chairperson changed to Regent, and the name of his staff was also adjusted; this year, the elected Regent was Epri Wahyuni. In 2022 the HIMATAKSIFO Regent was elected, namely Maharani Rizky Agustin.
This Student Association is active in activities, especially developing Library and Information Science and the literacy movement. This association also has a routine and mainstay program, L for F, a reading stall held on the coast because Bengkulu is a coastal area. This association is also active in developing village library development and carrying out literacy movements by having a new program, Bengkulu Reading, held in volume I in the 2021/2022 Management year. Then continued Bengkulu Reading Volume II in the 2022/2023 period Management.
