ACQUIN (the Accreditation, Certification, and Quality Assurance Institute) is a registered association with EQAR (the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education). EQAR is an international standard accreditation, certification, and quality assurance institution recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia, as stated in the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 83/P/2020 dated January 24, 2020.
According to the www.acquin.org website, ACQUIN aims to accredit bachelor and master programs in all disciplines and at all types of universities to ensure high-quality degree programs, create market transparency, increase the university’s attractiveness to foreign students, and promote competition for academic degrees. ACQUIN’s current membership includes more than 150 universities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United States, Liechtenstein, Egypt, Mongolia, and Lebanon, as well as professional associations and science-related specialists. The Chancellor gave directions to the international accreditation field visitation committee. For UNIB itself, this is the first and biggest international marking strategy program that has an impact on UNIB’s capabilities and excellence in the future. Therefore, on various occasions, the Chancellor of UNIB, Dr. Retno Agustina Ekaputri, S.E., M.Sc., always urges and invites all faculty leaders, heads of work units, and other academics to be serious, focused, and make maximum efforts to make this international accreditation successful.
